Chief Delsa R. Bush was appointed Chief of Police of the West Palm Beach Police Department on January 30, 2004 by Mayor Lois Frankel having served her entire career within the agency. She was hired in 1983 becoming the department's first African American female police officer.

In July 2007 Assistant Chief Crispo was placed in command of the Field Operations Bureau. Field Operations consists of three patrol divisions each commanded by a Captain. Included in the Field Operation Bureau are specialized units, the Entertainment District Unit (EDU), Special Events, Traffic Unit, K-9, Aviation and a total of 216 sworn officers. About Me
