The West Palm Beach Entertainment District was established in March 2007 as an effort by the City of West Palm Beach, Downtown Development Authority, Community Redevelopment Agency and the West Palm Beach Police Department to address issues unique to the Downtown.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has just released its mid-year crime report for cities through-out the State of Florida. The report shows a 20% decrease in the crime rate over the first six months of 2008 in the City of West Palm Beach. This is the largest drop for any city it’s size in Florida.
