WHAT: Theft Alert

DESCRIPTION: Ofc. Morrow and I responded to 800 block Handy ave. reference a black male suspect who had just stolen lawn chairs from the backyard. Ofc. Emmons responded and located the subject at 10th and Golf ave. Suspect and chairs returned to the scene. Contact was made with the victim via phone. He declined to prosecute. Suspect had no id and said his name was " pee wee miller ". He swore it was his real name.... I only know two pee wees...pee wee reese ( baseball ) and pee wee herman ( actor/comedian ). We did not believe him. No record in palms. Didn't know his ss#... even at the age of 47. After further investigation it was determine that his name was Horace Miller dob:081861. He is 5'6 , 130 lbs , med. compl , vagrant type. He had 2 warrants in palms. He used to live at 800 Handy ave. The house caught fire. He is staying in the backyard. No 21 past. Mostly 57/trespassing charges. But since he is homeless now , he might up the ante. Sig 14 for units. Any burglaries in that area...consider him a suspect.
